NICE!!!! My weekend has started! too damn hot to do anything hunting-related outside though, almost 100. I am the biggest b!tch when it comes to the heat..I hate sweating. I'd rather be cold than hot.
Nice! 100 is brutal. We been low 90’s and just today started to break, gonna be mid 70’s tomorrow looking forward it, I have a charity golf outing for work. Hoping to get to Ohio Sunday to scout.
We've been well over 100 almost constantly for the last two months. Tuesday we're supposed to have the first day not to hit 80 since I can remember. Oh, and some atmospheric anomaly the weather guy called "rain" ... anyone familiar with that? Sent from my KB2005 using Tapatalk
damn.....That's brutal! No effing way ever would I live down there! I was stationed in Lousianna for 2 years when I was 100 pounds skinnier, and Deployed to Iraq in 130 degree heat...20 some odd years later, I love snow, I love snow, I love snow!!! I smile everytime it snows I hate the heat that much. lol sorry I'll stop now.
Ordering some broadheads today. I'll stick with 3 blade Muzzy's, can't go wrong! I'll probably wash all my hunting clothes as well. Anyone else doing anything hunting-related today?
Did some shooting yesterday, 1st 3 shots ive taken at 40 all off season. gonna be trying to shoot every day going forward even if its just 6-12 arrows. i want it to be automatic Sent from my SM-S918U1 using Tapatalk
I got all my stand prep done for the private this weekend. Even put a rhino blind in a new promising location on the private farm. Still haven’t even shot my bow though (oof). I’m going to start shooting after work in the mornings this week though. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Just scouted in Ohio all day, put on some miles. Found a lot of good stuff and a lot of not good stuff. Got some promising spots marked up and cams hung. Time will tell!
Here's the view from my ladder stand. 23 yards to the feeder and 150 yards from my front door. Sitting up here this evening just to see what comes in. So far this year (not this evening) I've only seen two legal bucks. We have a 13" inside spread minimum here. We've got a bunch of doe. I'll try to get a few photos this evening. The feeder goes off in about 5 minutes. We'll see what happens when the dinner bell goes off! Sent from my KB2005 using Tapatalk
Just hunting with the camera. Season doesn't open until September 30 here. Sent from my KB2005 using Tapatalk
Two doe, one of them with twin fawns. Pretty much a guaranteed occurrence early season. The doe with fawns left and a third doe came in. No bucks at what would be the end of legal shooting light. Sent from my KB2005 using Tapatalk
