Tbh I thought it was high, but sometimes my guesses are way off. The only thing I was able to find to do it with was a regular tape measure before the taxidermist took it. I usually have a nice cloth tape that I feel does a great job but I could not find it of course. I’ll do it better when I get it back.

Congratulations! Great Buck! I have not been in here in awhile. Just checking in. I did locate a new buck that I may target.

Great buck @tca126 ! I was in Ohio for 5 days, 1st morning I was 3 steps from killing a 150’s 10pt. He was on a doe grunting and the doe stopped and started stomping at 23yds. A buck from the other thicket was coming across to her, I ranged the buck he was 37yds just watching the doe stomp, I didn’t have a shot. That other buck came in and ran her into the thicket and the big buck followed. I got em stopped at 45 yds, but wasn’t comfortable with the shot. Then after that day saw a couple bucks here and there, nothing to shoot. Just last night was in a new spot and had 4 bucks come by and one was a shooter but he hung just in the edge of this pine thicket guarding a doe, a younger deer went to him and he growled 5 times it was awesome to see and hear. I’ll be back out for a week from Friday on, I got a head cold while I was there and grinded out all day sits each day. I’m resting up now and medicating, washing my gear and getting prepared for the next trip! I’ll be out in Pa a couple times this week B4 I go to ohio. Good luck everyone!

I shot a doe last night and have yet to recover her. Had really good blood then we lost it when we hit a large field with high grass. We grid searched and didn’t find her. Will look again after morning hunt.

Damn, hope ya find her! Those tall fields are tough. I had one go into a huge green briar thicket and it was hell, but ending up getting her. I was bleeding as much as her by the end of it haha.

Pounds of meat in the freezer is a great way to score them!
