I stuck a buck tonight on my lease! I feel like I hit him real good and had good bright pink blood on the arrow and and at impact. I’m colorblind so really struggle to blood trail so I’m going to bring my dog and a buddy out in the morning. I have no idea how big he is I rattled him in and he came through the thick stuff and I had to shoot him quick or he was going to come straight at me and catch my ground scent. Slight change of plans for me. I'm going deep Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The later sunrise at 7:20 gives me plenty of time to get into the deep spot 2 1/2 miles in over 600' of elevation change, up and down over some nasty terrain. So that means, it's buck only, 100" minimum. Next weekend after the time change, I'll have 2 days to hunt (Friday and Saturday) To go after anything brown in one of my closer spots. LETS GOOO!!!!!!!

Well I posted here right after the scorecard lol o was just letting y’all know it was up. I’m in the stand again up at the main property would love to shoot a doe and other then that the rest of my vacation is dedicated to monster buck hunting
Not much activity here lately. We should have sone of the other participants score that buck, it would be 160. I leave tomorrow for kansas, i will become more active for those 12 days, going to shoot a doe early on and then wait for the right buck is my game plan. Though last year i passed a whopper on my first sit, only because i didnt want my hunt to be over in 2 hours.. I just picked up a Ravin R10 crossbow from one of my friends. Not even bringing my hoyt. Everything i need is already out there. I an leaving with a small backpack and thats it.
