Alrighty. I’m done with deer season. I’m not hunting again any more this season. Lol. Went for my last sit of the year today. Work has kept me out of the woods for a lot of the year. And getting a new phone has messed up my tapatalk and my messenger. I spent all this year hunting with my recurve instead of my compound. First year trying to go full trad. I missed 11 shots at deer. The best buck was a spike that would’ve measured a whopping 20 points. The rest were all does. Last month, just before christmas, a buddy of mine gifted me a new-to-me recurve and I took it today. Tonight I made first contact on a deer with trad equipment. Arrow went in and when the deer ran off it snapped the wood shaft about five inches from the tip. I just spent three hours in the dark looking for any sign of a direction to search. Going to be cold to ight so tomorrow i’m going to look again. It might’ve been a button buck. Might’ve been a doe. If I don’t find it then this is my first year eating tag soup since the first deer I killed with a bow. Majorly disappointed. Sorry I didn’t get any scores on the board. Happy new year everyone.
