Anyone on the team still hunting? I'm thinking of dusting off the rifle and hunting a doe only season we have in WI. I haven't shot a deer with my rifle in I don't know how many years. Thinking I will make it harder on myself and try to get it done on public land.
This is my last week of the season up here in the northern zone of NY - I'm hoping to get out at least 2-3 times toward the end of the week.....I still have an archery buck tag and a doe tag to fill if I can
I got a buck this morning with my crossbow on public land during muzzleloader season. I will get him scored & entered for our team tomorrow.
Congratulations Lady Forge! as for me hunting, the rifle season saw me shoot my 6th doe of the season and the muzzleloader season saw me miss the big 6 year old 8 pointer I was after during the bow season. I had him come a 2nd time but it was just too late to shoot. I have two doe tags left so I may or may not fill them. I hunt several areas where there are plenty of deer so filling the tags will only benefit the herd.
