Jonathan checking in. I have 2 farms I’ll be hunting this year. One place I’ve been hunting for 10yrs, I won’t run any cameras there, it has great potential. This is my 2nd year on the other farm, i put out 3 cameras this week. One of my main goals this year is to get my soon to be 13yr old daughter her first deer with a bow. Looking forward to getting to know the team and having a safe & successful season.
What I've noticed from teams that have won in the past is that almost everyone was able to shoot a doe. Throw a few good bucks in the mix and things could be looking good.

When does team name and captain pick need turned in? I'm cool with "The Sandbaggers". First time in this, don't think I want to be a captain.
I would say by September 1st a captain should be decided on. That's the cutoff for people to check in with their teams. I think we only have 2 people left to check in. Im not entirely sure what the captains responsibilities are. If anyone is good with computers and can come up with a sad looking lazy hunter type avatar that would be pretty funny if we went with the sandbaggers name.
These guys made it through last season and will be my target bucks. The taller one I passed last year hoping to be a little bigger. I have 3 years of pictures. So I'm guessing he is 5 this year.
Yep. I shot a doe last year and a 150 something buck thAt won me a recon thx camera and a $5k custom built muzzleloAder from trophy rock. ( see their main website photo with the 2bucks at the stump) Anyway I don’t think our team got credit for the doe. Would not have mattered We were a few teams down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good morning team. Just a little about myself, I am in central Illinois, I haven't been in the contest for a few years or even on the forum for awhile but recently decided to get back involved. I got two deer last year one buck and one doe. As far as team name goes I'm good with sandbaggers also I'm not very computer savvy so I won't be making any logos lol.
Sandbaggers sounds good to me. I was a captain a few years ago, it’s no big deal unless the captains have to vote on something. I haven’t been a part of the contest the last couple of years but it’s good to get a captain soon if we start making decisions on alternates etc. Hopefully we have a team member that can make us an avatar, I know I sure can’t.
