    That's funny right there. :D

Takes me WAY back to those college days. More way back than I care to admit.

Put the camera in a new location yesterday. Found a huge trail leading to the lake with a line of old scrapes and rubs. I can find does everywhere, but I haven't been able to track down where the bucks are spending their summers, only little spikers and forks.

I'd love to pattern a big boy, but I just might have to wait for Count Chocula in November/December!

My plan is to put some meat in the freezer with a "Quick 50" and spend the rest of the year after a buck.

Don't got bucks zeroed in on either. I'm just going to take each hunt and build off what I see as I progress through the season.

I hope to do the same. Drop a 50 in the first couple weeks and then I'm going to "Run & Gun" all over the area. I know in season scouting isn't always the ideal, but I gotta try and track down these bucks' summer range.

If it doesn't work out, I got my sights on a particular buck for the late & post rut...

It's all so close I can taste it! I'm also officaially out of backstrap, so any plump doe that ventures by is in trouble!

I talked to Brian (Fulldraw) this morning. He was out of town the past few days, but he'll be contributing more often. Him and I have a lease together we'll be doing some hunting on this fall, so I'll try to make sure he kills something with some antlers on it. :D

    Justin,

I think we'll have to meet up at The Prime when I'm down for the WI gun season. 10:00am Friday before opener... The five Fitzgerald boy's always meet up there for a late breakfast before heading' to the Cabin. Of course I'm usually all moved in the night before:D

If I were gonna be up at the Prime you can rest assured that I would take you up on the offer my friend. However, I will be down here on that weekend trying to kill something with my bow. My dad used to go up every year, but I think he's staying home this year and gonna head out with the slug gun and try to actually kill something. I think he's seen 3-4 deer total on opening weekend the past few years up there.

I do miss me some Prime food though. I never made it up North this summer, and it looks like I might not at all this year.

You guys are killing me! I may have talked the wife into heading up on the opener, but I doubt I'll hunt. Probably just relax and get a little fishing in before the season starts down here. Not worth the money to buy a tag for 1 1/2 days of hunting.
