Its 61 here right now, Saturday looks like a cold(er) front is coming through so hopefully i can make something happen.
Here's an update from NC....nothing monday, couldnt go tuesday, wednesday nothing and pulled my camera on the way out. My 8 was there on camera which is 20 yards from my stand 30 minutes after I left out monday after dark......but the best part is he and that good sized 5 pt. were both there on Tuesday (refer to above statement).....isnt that how it normally goes??? Gotta love it though.....
Saturday is my youngest daughters first birthday party. After the festivities are over I leave to head north to the UP of Michigan for a flyfishing trip for king salmon. Can wait...all the fishing reports say it is the best run they have seen in two decades. Sat should be a long fun filled day with laughter and fun that is until I start my 9 hour road trip....lol!!
Thats cool. Good luck. Update: Pulled my cam this morning off of my little hot spot. Great news show up. I have a great ten point on camera everyday in the morning for the last week and a half using my food plot. The other great news is that I have some time this weekend to get in a stand. Opener should be good for me. I will keep you all updated. Ty

Goon- that's a bummer, but I'm sure a good fishing trip helps make for the loss!.. and btw, I have 2 daughters (10 & 11).. be prepared for "intersting" years ahead lol I'm working 6 days this week, including Ohio's opener (Sat).. but there is good news. My pops was kind enough to keep an eye on a buck I spotted last week, near my cabin. He's hitting a alfalfa field in the evenings, with regularity. Wind permitting, I'll be on that fence line Sunday evening, at his usual entry point.... 8 points, right around 140 and apparently hanging on to his velvet for dear life. Let's hope he doesn't break the pattern before then!
Z7 Got my Z7 Extreme today.... lets just say, it make my bear seem like its a carnival sideshow bow........ this freakin thing is sweet..... Dropped by the Trail cam to put new batteries in and had a coyote under the stand. Middle of the day, once i figure out how to post pics I'll throw some up.
got my bear from a buddy of mine this year i love it shoots hard and straight exactly what i want but my next bow will be a z7 i think
Just got back from Michigan this evening. Salmon fishing is now out of the way and its time to shift over bowhunting. Heading out this sat. to Ohio for the opener.
