SeeiN some good deer sign up in Albany on my buddies property not a bow spot but will be here in the December gun season
Sorry ladies and gents..been a little busy the last couple days. Hopefully we'll get the rest of the team checked in soon. Seems like everyone so far is liking Nocked Up which is totally cool with me unless anyone has anything else. Is anyone good at making avatars? Here is a few pictures I recieved on my phone yesterday from the KY lease. I would love to be able to make it down there more throughout the season but with work between both my wife and I, I might make it 2-3 weekends this year.
"Nocked Up" gets my vote! Joe, I've been thinking about visiting a friend in KY and maybe buying a tag... what's the cost for non-residents?
Hi Josh wack a big one this year. Good luck, this is our year this year!!!!!!! since we didnt kill one last year EX TEAMATE Chris
Hey guys Iowabowhunter5 checking in Sorry I've been busy. The team looks good. My names Ty and I'm from southern Iowa
Welcome aboard Ty, glad to have ya! Josh, I looked at my license from 2009-2010 season and I paid $190. $130 for non-resident hunting and $60 non-resident deer permit. I haven't bought my license yet this year so I'm not sure if its the same yet or not.
Nocked Up is cool with me. One more week till I head to Ohio for final prep before the season opener on the 24th. Got 10 cameras to check and move about. Being that all of the crop fields are on the far end of the property and I hunt the opposite end I will be spending alot of time peaking up into the oak trees to find which ones are loaded up with acorns. The buck in my avatar was killed last year during the first week of the season in Ohio on a secluded thick bench that had 4 or 5 white oaks raining down acorns. He came along the bench mowing down every acorn in his path at 1100 in the morning. Checked some cams today in Pa with nothing worth even wasting my time over. I did find a few magnum rubs though which I guess maybe I was looking in the wrong place. Moved a few cams in hopes of locking down on the buck that it laying down the sign.
Thanks Chris! I think we were only around 70 points from taking the title last season... that was a killer team! I almost feel bad for not taking one of the lesser bucks I had in range lol. The dept. has been working me like a dog all summer. Just hope my Capt. understands that I'm working all of this OT because I'll be taking some personal days come Oct/Nov. Good luck brother and stay safe over there!
Joe- that's not bad!! I might just have to give KY a few days of attention this season Mark- I just a hunting partner pull 2 cams off of our new permission farm... only one 7 pointer in 2 weeks of being out. Oh well, they'll be in another location come Tuesday. Nothing like last minute cramming! Ty- Welcome to the future champion team! Another prime location.. this is getting better every day!
Does anyone have any votes/nominations/suggestions for team captain? Looks like Cody is wanting to get a list of all the team captains.
Checkin in Josh B checkin in here in Lima Ohio. Checking the game camera, looks like its going to be a good year with all sorts of creatures!!!!! Got coyote, deer, fox and coons.... and a set of menonites........ What exactly is the objective of this contest? How does it all work? Im new so bear with me!!!! Little about myself. Was in the Marines for 9 years(Infantry Plt Sgt, and Marksmanship instructor), have a BA from Ohio State, and now starting a family back in my hometown of lima ohio!!!
Welcome aboard Josh! Great to have ya! Oh boy 2 guys named Josh from Ohio on the same team...watch out. Here is a link to the contest rules for you Josh and anyone else that has any questions on the contest. http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?22725-Official-Rules-and-Contest-Info If theres something you dont understand in the rules just post it up in here and I'm sure we can get it straightened out for you. A couple of the main things are, you MUST use a compound bow, recurve or crossbow. Only 1 buck and 1 doe can be entered into the contest per person. If you live in a multi buck state or hunt multiple states, you must use your first buck that you kill. For the deer to successfully be entered, there has to be 2 different photos of you, the deer and your bow in the picture. If there is any questions what so ever please ask because we will need every deer to count. P.S. It appears that I've been voted as team captain. So now all we need is the avatar if you guys and gals want one. Then we can get this party rockin.
Hey Ty you and I have common interests in bowhunting being #1 and wrestling #2 I wrestled middle school and high school for 5 years, until I blew out my shoulder and needed a bone graph, so now I'm a coach for a club team here on Long island!
LOL - good to hear from ya! He's not going to let you take it easy for my sake - heck, he'll push harder just to beat me Best of luck!
