I just set out my last camera I had on me not 300 yards from this scrape, I almost turned around to go get it. Next time I get up there I'll be sure to have a camera on me and see what develops out of it.
I looked at previous years on the same scrape and they began hitting it in early September and continue to check it pretty regularly. I find the does seem to get it started, and the bucks respond. One doe chewed on the leaves, most stand in it. The bucks rub much more orbital glands high in the branch and pee in it. Only one actually "scraped" the ground. I put it on the due to previous yes Intel. Really cool footage Sent from my XT1080 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Kinda the calm before the storm here in Oklahoma. It has turned hot and I am kinda taking a break. Going to get some rest and spend some time with the family. Weather is supposed to take a turn for the better right before season and it will be on! Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I've been out bear hunting quite a few times this month, no baiting, and been seeing a lot of does moving a jumped a young buck the other day so liking the doe action so far. I know the bucks are there just ain't seen them the past few weeks. It's been real muggy out and this weekend is projected in the 90s so laying low this weekend. Bow can't open soon enough!
I just snagged two new Summit Vipers off my neighbor! Always wanted one and couldn't refuse his price offering for both of them!
I love my Viper climbers. They are usually my all day sit/run and gun setups. I have multiple trees marked for climbing height so while climbing in the morning darkness, I know how high I need to be. Check out Third Hand Archery online. They have some must have items for climbers. I use their stabilizer straps and bow holder.
I've owned 3 over the past 12 years. Had one and sold it. Then I regretted it. Bought a used one that was a little older, then last year traded a muzzleloader for a like new one. They are nice stands, you'll like them! Sent from my SM-S120VL using Tapatalk
Best I have pics of so far. Will be hard to pass but I'm almost positive he is only 3. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Not sure about him only being 3. He has a really short nose but hard to tell with those pics Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Our season opens this Saturday. Not hunting the a.m. but will be taking my son on his first deer hunt in the evening. He's been shooting lights out with his xbow. He's sat with me plenty of times growing up but has never been in the drivers seat. He can't wait!
My season starts the 1st and I can't wait. Supposed to be a cold front coming through that night lows going to be in the 40s and I have some coming in around 4am hopefully they will be a little late with the weather change. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
It's been so hot and dry here. Just have not gotten in to hunting mode yet. Swapped out cards in cameras over a week ago and first looked at them last night. Bingo!!! Now I'm fired up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
