Planted a couple strip plots into my clover fields yesterday. Planted oats, winter rye, peas and radish. Still have a few more plots to plant this weekend. Still no target bucks on cams.

Moved my cell cam to a new spot closer to bedding areas. This is a buck I'm hoping my 7yr old will get a shot at. He's a 4-5 yr old 6pt frame with a 3-4" drop on his left. I've had pics of this deer for the past 3 yrs now.

When does everyone get to start hunting? PA starts Sept 30 and NY on Oct 1. Still have a month to wait!

My thoughts exactly. Checked a camera yesterday and the biggest buck I have on camera was thru this pinch 6 times in the past 2 weeks. Hoping he continues the pattern. Last year he was more sporadic as the season went on. Going to be very careful and stay out till the season starts. Discipline, discipline.

Still got thirty days here to wait. Most likely 50. Got lots of work commitments to finish before tree relaxation.

What is everyone using for shooting equipment this season?

I'll be shooting a 2016 PSE Inertia 28" 60#, BE Carnivore arrows tipped with Rage Hypo's & Slick Tricks, HHA sight, QAD Ultra HDX rest and using a Trufire 3D hunter 3 finger release.
