Guys seeing anything? I debated goimg out this morning but elected to process my doe instead. Planning on heading out for an evening hunt. I really thought today was going to be cooler than it is though... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Went out this morning and seen a yearling and my buddies wife shot a little buck. It was her first deer ever and she was so excited! Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Didn't head out tonight but wish I had. Hate weatherman. On a brighter note my dad shot his first bull this morning on the first day of his Wyoming hunt! No clue about elk but it looks like a nice one to me! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Firsts are the best. I love when new people have success. That looks like a very nice bull! Congrats to him! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Seen quite a few 8's and smaller buck's this season but nothing worth dropping the string on so far where I live. Heading down state to hunt with my son for a week, he's been seeing several good shooters down around him. Will be leaving for Kentucky around the 24th, hope we do as well as last season, we went 6 for 8 last year.
Want this VT legend to come cruise through again. Got him 3/4 times now in the last month and been after him since the opener with no luck so far. seen few spikes and 4pt but not nothing I want to fill a tag on yet. Patience Patience!
saw 4 does Sunday morning about 80 yards out. saw a doe getting chases like an Ethiopian with a lunch ticket with a small spike following behind looking for left overs. . He ran her like no body's business. then saw 3 more Sunday night nothing with in shooting range tho.
Hoping to sit for the first time for myself this Saturday evening. I've sat a few times with my son with no luck. To say my finger is itchy is an understatement. First big nanny to walk in may be in trouble.
Got my vacation approved today. First day off is Nov. 3rd and not going back until Nov. 21. If I don't see the rut I will be shocked lol. Hope the weather is cooler than last year. Was in the upper 70s for the first week of November. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Nice! I have the 30th thru the 12th off. Last year was terrible warm during the first week of Nov. I think you will have it covered for sure. Good luck! Sent from my XT1080 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Got a text from dad last night. Bull green scored 340. Very big for that area, not sure which unit he was in. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Ok guys have some good news and bad news. Good news is that when I left my favorite set the other morning I checked the camera and suddenly out of nowhere I have does! This is great news I have not been getting any pics of does yet on the whole 600 acres. Bad news is there had been no bucks on camera since the pic of the bruiser I posted. heartbreaker tonite. I put a buddy of mine on a little kill plot b/c I'm tagged out in PA and this bruiser decided to show himself. 25 yards and he got excited. Tried to shoot between two limbs and bounced it off one of them. Needless to say, probably won't see that big guyagain this year. Had the wind and plenty of daylight left. 14 scoreable points. Getting to be the right time of year. Been trying to keep up with everyone's posts looks like some have hit the ground and others have good ones to chase. Good luck everyone! That's a good buck. Better to zing one over his back than it have deflected into a bad hit. I'll be out this evening through Sunday hitting it pretty hard, then maybe a day or 2 next week. After that, my main hunting area closes down until december Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Had 2 good bucks in the area last night. Field laying at 630pm does laid out in the field also. Didnt get up til dark but they are in the area. and holding.
