Dove seasons dont open until noon today in Tennessee, came in early so i can leave early. got a few birds using the field
I may buy my tag later today and shoot some birds around the house, but who knows. I'm still running and getting as ready as I can for my trip next week. The doves may not get harassed by me this year.
What gun did you get? I got the Winchester sxp for turkey season and really like it. I haven't shot anything else with it yet.
Thats a good gun. That was the other gun I was considering, but I got too good of a deal on the Winchester to pass it up. My little brother always gets benelli and loves them.
I like it. I already have 2 rem 1100s and a mossberg 500, all older guns belonged to my grandpa. It was just time for something new for me. But I do have the 1100 in the truck for a back up for Me or my buddy just in case. Hard to leave an old faithful behind...

Just wanted to let you guys know that i have requested a replacement for Ben/PA. Once we have our replacement that should round out the team.
Replacement, checking in. My name is Mike, and I hunt central Minnesota. I hunt on a friends property that is more of a "pass through zone" than maintaining a herd of deer. I have applied to hunt a local military reservation that hosts 4000 hunters over two weekends and produces some good sized bucks every year. Haven't heard results of the draw yet.

The camp is 53,000 acres. They issue 2000 permits for each 2-day hunt, this year on October 15-16 and Oct 31-Nov 1. Being my first time applying, I don't think it likely I will be drawn.
