ok I have a question.

one of the guys who help my track the buck ( big buck 120ish) want to start hunting my spot on game land (public ). told him no way in hell I'd show him my spot because:

LAZY, never want to go out to scout with me ,son
will sit in my stand or son stand ( even if we are their to hunt)
he does not see buck on his private land he hunts ( SLOB hunter)
plus is a afraid of the BIG BEAR we saw on the private land when I showed him my old spot on the private land.

BUT WE DO HAVE FUN until hunting season starts and he just turns into a BIG JERK!

I'm I wrong for telling to go find his own spot? I'm ready to block his phone # from calling me again.

For those that didn't see it, I killed a doe this morning. I'll add her to the scorecard in a couple days when I get the pics off my other camera.

Thanks. Its pretty easy making good shots when they are at 20 yards broadside standing stone still.

Jake Congrats on the Doe ... really like the photo

We had the first snow of the year the other day so I went out in the morning doe bowhunting since Im tagged out on bucks here in Illinois.
I saw this buck walking thru the timber and since he was walking away from me I decided to have some fun and see if I could turn him and call him into me knowing I had the wind in my favor. I didnt have a doe call so I mouth bleated to him and then used the grunt tube call I had ... Worked Like A Charm. He turned and came right to me. Now the footage is a little bumpy in spots but bear with it since I havnt been carrying the camera arm ( I am just free hand filming ) but he came to 20.5 yards and gave me some great footage.
Had a blast hunting even though I didnt get a doe.

Thought I would share with you all the footage I have of a buck I call " Red Lick " Ive have had him come by me 4 times on diffferent dates and been able to film him each time Filming free hand. I think he is just a 2 year old so I cant wait to see what he grows up to look like.

church archers congrats on that buck. Amazing and that should really put us in the running. It's gun season here so no bowhunting. Unless you wanna just stand in the woods for no good reason.

Good luck to anyone that still has a season left. I'm hoping to get out in Dec for late season hunt. The blind is gonna be tough now. Gotta find a good spot to put it on the property since the farmer turned the soil. Kinda shut them down for having a reason to go into the field. maybe where the soybeans are still standing? good food source come winter.

well team, I have some very very bad news. My father was killed in a car accident on thanksgiving morning while driving to our house for dinner. He was 2 minutes away from our house when it happened. So I won't be on the site for some time. Not sure about hunting for the rest of the year. I have a lot to contend with right now.

Please, Please, all of you do me a favor ;and hug the ones you love. Make time in your schedules to spend time with each other. It can go in a flash. Woulda, coulda only leads to Shoulda done this, shoulda done that and now nothing.

Im so sorry for you and your families loss .. you all have our prayers.
And you are so correct ....make the time, they can be gone in a flash.

I was adopted and when I finally got to meet my birth father he died less than 2 weeks after I met him for the first time, loved ones and family are so precious !!
