Well 1st day out tomorrow afternoon in a blind off a grassy field & edge of woods. Need your opinion. I have a rectangular field. Woods bordering on east. Tree line 2 west that borders neighbors property. Due 2 my boot limited 2 where I can go. So I can either sit in blind on tree line next 2 neighbor's property or cut in off field just inside woods looking down in2 ravine.
    What r your thawts?

Depending on the winds ... But if the winds allow I would go for the "sit in blind on tree line next 2 neighbor's property" Hope you have a great time !!!!!

Hey guys what mapping site would I go to, to make a copy and post on here to show your all where I could sit this afternoon. Unfortunately I am limited mobility wise and have to stay on flat grassy areas near the house.

nothing tonight. but it was good to at least get out. but there are an amazing amount of rubs on the tree line where I had my blind set up. They are all from this year. There has been a line of rubs on that tree line every year, but I've never seen the buck doing them. But this year's rub is about 4-5' high on some of the saplings.

How is everyone else's prospects looking? Good luck to everyone else.

Up and moving, heading out now................20 minute drive........5 minutes to dress and 10 minute to walk to stand, should be up in a tree by 0500. Yesterday was 67 degree when I left the house, today it is 44. Let's hope the cooler weather has them up and moving, Goodluck out there folks.

Already had deer in range five times this morning. A doe and fawn before daylight, a forked horn (not legal) and a button buck walked by two different times.

Checked cams today and had a stud come through the morning of the 4th before light. Passed a small 8 last night and took today off. Headed out in the morning.

    got bad news.
I hit a big buck tonight (with arrow) shot him for 30 yrd but think it was only 20 yrds. found my arrow about 30 yrd in crp type grass arrow still full length but no bh on the arrow 10-15 of blood on the arrows....mmmm went back to get the car phone and call for help ( onstar) crying to my friend and asking for help so they come to help track.

all 3 of us followed the blood (red carpet) about 150 yds. then cross the road onto private land we asked permission and got it following the blood drip and drop now. but no deer until we see lights in the woods 70 in front of us. an other father hunting with his son they all so shoot the same buck and we all found it 50 yds from where the other boy shot shot it. he made a great shot my
was high and very close to the shoulder blade. (looked to be in the bone explain why no bh on my arrow when I found it) the buck was a great 8 pointer with a 22" spread 14" tines.

when I (if) they do what they say their do would do (email me pic) I'll post pic of my all most buck.

I'll not headed back tomorrow because of my dr. test

    p.s
sorry I let every one down.

What the?!!!!! DUDE, really, come on! don't friggin worry about that stuff when you've got a cardiac test comin up. There will be plenty of deer to shoot, makin sure that your okay is what is number one on this team. Just leaves room for a bigger buck, that's all.

Talked myself into hunting in the morning for a couple hours. Have to work until 2:30am. Just time to run home a take a quick nap, shower and head to my stand. Five minutes to drive and five minutes to walk to my stand. The rut is heating up around here and gun season starts Saturday. There is plenty of time to sleep after deer season. Right?
