Heading out in the morning. Had a few big scrapes show up the last few days. Definitely starting to get good.
Saw a big doe at about 4:00 but she didn't come in range. About 4:45 had a nice 8pt come within 25yds. He stayed in the brush and made a scrape. I threw every trick in the book at him. I took another doe this morning It was nice to watch her drop dead 25 yards from my stand. Here is a couple of screen shots of the goofy rack buck I passed on a few days ago.
I killed the buck I was after. I hammered him at 7:30 this morning at 10 yards and he ran about 70 yards and piled up. It was an awesome hunt, especially since my wife was with me to witness it. I have plenty of pics and already scored him. I'll post it on the scorecard thread soon.
Kg, tell that young man congrats, that is awesome. Jake, good job on getting your target buck down. All I am seeing is small bucks, cameras are showing the bigger bucks starting to move closer to daylight hours but still moving at dark. Next sit will be Saturday morning. Dave
