All set up and ready to go. Had a perfect wind walking in. Only thing I forgot was the batteries to my shotgun mic for my camera, so I call that a success.... I had to break out the thermal gear for this morning, it's a very cool feeling 44 degrees, and I didn't have a very long walk, so opted the route of warmth since I'll probably only hunt till 10 or so...good luck to any and all out hunting today...
well boys we got another 50 points on the board. It happened quick. Didnt have time to get the camera on. I actually just got done taking a leak and had enough time to zip my fly, grab my bow, and smack her. She came in from my left and circled behind me, started stomping a little, then turned and walked away, came into an opening about 25 yds behind me, had a nice clear lane for a quartering away shot, arrow stuck in off side shoulder, she took off, heard the crash. Short track job of about 20-25 yds, barely an exit wound but a hell of a entrance wound, perfect shot, lung and heart... Shot at 715am, sunrise was at 701....
Hey congrats Wesley! Well boys real bad news on my end. I am out of commission for 4-6 weeks, and wearing a full boot on my right leg. I've got an issue with the tendons in the arch of my foot. This really, really, really sucks big time. The weather here is turning perfect 50s day, 40s night. damn, damn, damn! Hopefully it heals fast and I can get out in Nov before gun season. good luck to everyone else.
hey I just want to say congrats to the lucky team member who score so far...go team #2 and pray for you in da woods wish a fast recovery

Only was able to get a evening hunt in yesterday with my wife due to bad wind for the stands we wanted to hunt. So I set up a blind for us over looking my dads food plot bout 6:10pm a doe and fawn came out about 20 yards she was very nervous and they turned back and that was it for the evening. But sure felt good to be back at it.
KG, good luck out there tomorrow. Hope you get a big boy and put some serious points on the board! Thanks for the prayers. Positive thinkin to get me healed quick. Oh, yeah so I came gimping around the to the backyard and there in the yard are 8 turkeys! oh the inhumanity of it all! I'd swear those birds know that I can't hunt! 1
The rain has finally stopped here. Winds around 20mph with gusts near 40 for the rest of the day. This evening my and my buddy are going to hunt the valley where I shot my buck last year, hoping that they are down in the bottom to stay out of the wind.
