Doe and fawn doe and fawn..................oh wait, big body deer...................just a six point and a tall spike following. All I saw yesterday, heading out soon for an evening hunt. Dave
bedding area? how do you hunt bedding area? this past Saturday I scout this spot out and kick up 1 young buck and 3 does yesterday. and today I kick out 6 unknow deer. I know that I've should have scout this spot early in year. but I don't know which way they are coming into this said spot. http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac30/kgtech1/game land_zpsooepuseo.jpg black lines are trails, behind the pine is a funnel created by two bodies of water
I haven't been hunting but twice and its been hot. I'll be trying some morning hunts this weekend since we have a small cool front coming through. Hopefully the bucks will be up on their feet later in the morning.
Went out Saturday evening saw a doe and fawn. Sunday morning had one walk by before shooting light and later a fawn bedded down within 20 yards of my stand. Saw nothing Sunday evening. I'm blaming the super moon. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Got out twice this weekend, which is less than I had hoped. It's been unseasonably warm and only saw a couple of does/fawns which were beyond shooting range.
still good to be seeing deer out there. Still haven't made it out, just too damn busy. worked a 72 hour shift Fri-Mon, on a 48 right now Tue-Wed, kid's bday this weekend, not much of chance to get out other than maybe sat morning. Weather is perfect here this week. high's in the 50s day, 40s at night. not much for wind. good luck to everyone, remember wear your safety harnesses!

Sounds like you work as many hours as I do. It sucks! I typically work 6 days a week and average between 68-72 hrs a week on nights. I'll only be hunting Sunday afternoons until my vacation the last week in October. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Well Tomorrow morning is our opening day, Ill be in a tree in the morning with bow in hand trying to get my doe since its a earn a buck property.
Good luck tomorrow. I'm waiting on Saturday morning here. The wind will be right and we have a small cold front coming through. I'm going in early to my top bucks bedroom to try and kill him.
Tomorrow is the day for me. As usual I waited till the last minute to get everything ready, I tell my wife I do it this way so I can be sure I get it all done at once and know I have everything. So I'm getting my pack ready and I think what am I forgetting, I see my hunting license laying on the table, oh crap, I haven't bought tags..... That would have been bad. Standing at the counter now getting them and then I am all set and ready to go.....
