I had a little helper checking one of my trail cameras this afternoon. No shooters, but Gracie still likes to see pictures with pawpa.

Some people say they've already seen some scrapes. I'd wait a week maybe or make a couple of small ones. Tink's make a real good product called mock scrape. I've used it for a couple of year's now. My camera picked up a buck that night I made the scrape along with his hoof print in it.

Well fellas, it's fixing to be go time. Today I'm working on my wife's bow after work. Tomorrow evening I'll be in the stand trying to kill my #1 hitlister. Friday evening I'm going to another farm to try and shoot a doe. And Saturday morning I will be back after my #1 buck if I don't kill him tomorrow. He's showing up in daylight and it's time to make a move on him right now.

It ended up being a slow evening last night. I saw a flock of turkeys, 3 coyotes, and 6 does. I was really hoping the coyotes would come within range. I'll be heading to a different farm after work today to try and kill a doe.

In the stand now. Heavy mist and fog, almost as good as rain.

Just a handful of does this morning, and nothing in shooting range.
