So how is everybody shooting? I thought I had my bow tuned pretty well and I have been shooting great. But after trying to broadhead tune for my QAD Exodus this afternoon I think I might be underspined on my arrows. After trying and not succeeding with the broadheads I shot through paper to double check. I am getting a BIG left tear and the heads are hitting 3-4" right even after making adjustments to the rest. I had the arrow pointing noticeably left off the rest and the fixed heads still hit right. The Easton tuning guide points to a weak shaft when this happens. I am shooting Beamn ICS 340 shafts out of an Experience that is 68-70# at 28.5". My arrows are cut 29.375". I may try cutting one down tomorrow and see if it improves any.
Turkish621 sent me a PM...he's hunting black bears in Canada and will check in when he gets home. So, we've got a full team!
Were asset on IML side. Own 26000 of our own containers. We compete directly with JBH. For highway were all brokerage but have a large screened carrier base. We do plenty of line to truck and prefer drop programs for IML. Check out our website....were much bigger than a 3pl. We shipped close to 800000 IML containers last year. Anyways....enough of that. PM me if your interested in chatting. Don't worry not in sales so no sweat off my back either way.
Deadly at 11 yards (basement) and 18 yards (backyard). It needs to stop raining so I can hit the range soon.
I got out one evening a week or so ago and shot for the first time in a couple months. Everything was still great shooting with my broadheads was hitting the bullseyes on the target at twenty five and then got interrupted and quit. I can't shoot groups like that airenlow...I cut off the fletchings.
Yeah, I ruined an arrow in that pic. I was really just working on form and not paying attention to the group. Oops!
I had mine shooting great out to 50 yards. I walk backed tuned and it was grouping nicely. But the broadhead tuning exposed an issue. According to OnTarget software with my arrows the length I have them I need a 300 spine. The 340's need cut to 27". That gives me little room at the rest but I am going to try it today with one arrow.
I believe mine are also underspined a bit but I never moved up to the 300's. I feel my rig would shoot better if I ever did change though.
In the middle of moving this weekend. Hope to shoot my bow if I get time. Got a new one in March and still not sighted in!
Good shooting airenlow! Nice bucks Covey. Cut two arrows down yesterday and went out this morning and the first two shots resulted in two sliced off vanes. It was definitely the spine. I do not like how close to the rest the broadheads are so I ordered a dozen shafts so I can leave them longer like I prefer. I'll wait to shoot farther than 20 until I get the new arrows built up.
