Sending it to the captain first is a good thought. This is my first year, so if and when I get a buck, I'd love to make sure it is done correctly so it counts.

I too will also shoot a doe if the opportunity arises. We hunt to fill our freezer, so not bashful! Hopefully the opportunity arises to get a buck, a doe or either or!

Sounds like a plan. This is my first year also, so we can post the first entry here and work out any bugs.

I hope to have a doe down by early October. I always take a doe early. It's nice to have a tag filled and meat in the freezer early for a confidence booster. Even after 30 years of hunting I get super excited when I know it's a deer I am going to shoot; taking a doe early helps ease those jitters for me for some reason. :)

Dude...that is so damn spot on it's scary. I don't get jitters and don't get all that excited but it gives me confidence to have at least one doe down and done before I chase antlers.

I'd prefer not to put that kind of pressure on our team captain...I'd prefer we just post what we intend to submit here first for the entire team to look over and edit before it's submitted. I know from personal experience last year that it can be a PITA for one member to try to proof read submissions or to submit another members deer and I wouldn't want any one person to have to deal with that. It's a team sport so the team should be in agreement before entries are submitted.

I agree, we're all a team, we should all look it over and makre sure everything looks good before we submit anything. I'm hoping to get a chance at a doe early in the season, like you guys have said, just makes chasing after a buck less stressful when the freezer is already full.

Is there a transmittal template anywhere, maybe from past games? IThat would be nice because then all we would have to do is add the pics, fill in the info, etc., and that would ensure all submissions are complete and uniform.

Sorry as an engineer that deals with the FAA and TSA daily, I guess I am a stickler for proper paperwork LOL.

That's a great idea but as far as a generic transferable template...I don't recall ever seeing one. They just outline what's required and everyone kinda wings it from there it seems.

Maybe you could put one together and submit it to the forum staff for standardization.

Very nice. I always liked the Black Widows. I shot and built trad bows for years before my two back surgeries.

Today is gonna be all about bare shafting it, getting the nock point set, practice and putting some corn out while pulling camera cards.

Ok so I told my niece she could pick the fletching colors for my new arrows. I am a man of word so even though she picked purple and neon green I am going with it. I had Mindy at Onestringer send me two styles. So which one? I had some fletched with Razr feathers and they look awesome but are too noisy for my tastes out past 20 yards.

The crappy cell photo washed out some colors on the wraps, that green on both wraps is more of a neon green like the nocks and and vanes, it is not nearly as yellow in person as it looks in this pic.
