I got out for a short walk this AM. Didn't have time to hit any of the good thick stuff but managed to pick up a couple and matched one up.

Finally walked one of my good spots. I picked up 10 in less than 2 hours. 3 matched sets. One set is a giant 6x5. 11 total on the day. Up to 48.

I love how every time I open this thread its either "holy **** dude your on fire!" or "You are carrying the team! MVP" :)

I may have a buddy going with me to SD on the shed trip, that will make it more exciting and might take my mind off things on that day! The 18th is going to be a rough day... planned on asking the big question that day but that is no longer relevant... Good thing its shed season!

No, I found four a couple days ago on the fifth....WTF, I thought sure I posted those blagh.....
I have the 22, I'll see if I can find the stupid pics. My phone memory card is so full of crap this is getting confusing.

The best part is I am still hoping 20-40 more to come in once I get back from SD!! I think we should get our hats embroidered with "Boonerville" on them if we win!!

Ive always wondered about SD. are there high deer concentrations or are they just easier to see in the open?

I dont think they match IA in deer numbers, but I think they can be fairly concentrated with you have draws and food next to each other? This is a private ranch with 100,000 acres and one spring they pulled 20 antlers out of tractor tires! They said guys with dogs that work hard can find up to 20 a day. I will have a half trained dog and plan on putting in 2 hard 12 hour days and my buddy will be with as well, so hopefully we can pick up some bones!
