Walked my azz off yesterday... NADA

Really think someone slipped into a couple of my better spots early on. Considering as I'm walking I am jumping TONS of deer, many of which are bucks, yet I didn't find a fresh shed all year so far. One last place to go this weekend but the green is getting high quick with the recent rains.

I'm in the same boat. I've walked the same areas that I've always found sheds in. I'm not sure what the deal is. Tons of tracks and tons of deer. The only thing I can figure is, with the mild winter they didn't stay right on top of the food as much this year.
You're right about the green. I went again yesterday, couldn't hardly even see the ground where I was walking.

four of the 5 sheds I found this year were from last year. I have been stumped along with you guys. I'm blaming it on the mild winter as the deer never had to group up. the bucks just stayed home this year.

I'm getting ready to spray all my fields and spread bean fertilizer. I always find a few sheds doing that so I'm probably still good for another 5-15 or so. That's if I get to do that before the contest closes. It needs to dry up first.

That's Monday correct? A few days left yet.

I don't want to win bad enough to cheat for it.

Not just on foot but on one foot...fueled by pixie dust mixed with peanut butter.

Legend goes he can just brush his hand through high grass and come out with two or three sheds.

Y'all are funny. I DID find one in the dark mushroom hunting. Added 14 looking for mushrooms. Gives me 134. I feel very fortunate to have found this many, all without a dog ( no disrespect to those who have one). And I am pretty sure I posted a picture of every single one. I'd love to win the contest, but as covey said...not bad enough to cheat. I'll remember this year for a long time. Worst part about not winning contest is next year our team will be broken up. I think we are a solid bunch that would have a good chance to win every year.

Ohh yea...one more thing. If any of you guys ever find 40 sheds in one day call me so I can come take a picture, I don't think one exists.

    Boonerville out.

I still can't describe how bad that makes my foot hurt!
I wish I had the time, and places you have to shed hunt booner!
Helluva season, mostly on one foot!
