Congrats Jake. Sorry I'm late to the party.

 

Rifle season came in last Saturday. Since I didn't have anything big on camera where I bow hunt, I went after sikas. Had a decent day. I'll be getting out a few times more before the season wraps up.

 

Sat last night and a doe saved a nice buck from getting shot. Had a 20”+ wide 10 at 30 yards and needed him to take 1 more step to get into my shooting window and a doe got nervous and stomped. He didn’t like it and walked directly away from me and stayed at around 70 yards the rest of the evening. I had 15 does and 3 bucks within 40 yards. Way too many eyes. I’ll be back out Friday before gun season opens up. Hopefully I can make it happen. I saw 4 bucks I would shoot last night.

Daughter showed me how it’s done tonight! 170 yard shot with my Cva paramount muzzleloader took out the top of his heart! I’m so pumped. Her 3rd buck in 3 years and they keep getting bigger! Spoiled 11 year old for sure!

She was telling all the guys at church that I talk hunting with the story of her hunt and showing pictures! So awesome haha! I will take them out as long as they are interested. My oldest didn’t want to go out this year which hurt a little haha. She says she still wants to turkey hunt so we’ll see. My youngest is begging to go as well but I feel at 6 she is too young.
