Coyotes are a concern but I’m going to have to hope for the best. I’ll update you guys tomorrow. I’ll get my doe posted up soon!

Good luck Dan. I saw a nice 8 this morning. Almost got a shot, just needed him to take a few more steps. Instead he followed the doe. Saw him again this evening. Hopefully he's still around tomorrow morning.

My buck showed up at the same spot yesterday. Didn’t look like a shooter with his head down but he is pretty tall and has great mass on his bases. He got me shaking so I shot him! Praying for a good outcome tomorrow.

Well it didn’t turn out like I wanted. Dog followed the trail for a while and was real interested in a finger of timber and searched it all. No deer. We scent checked the whole crp field and he didn’t smell anything that interested him. Either the deer is alive or he went well over 1000 yards and we never found a bed. I have exhausted every option and looked everywhere I can look. I’m at a loss.

Sorry Dan, that's heartbreaking, but it happens to us all at some point.

Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully he will show back up again and you'll get another shot.

Well guys...I had a very eventful morning. Cold temps, lots of movement and finally a nice 10 came by. Of course, he went at a hard angle under my stand and when I released my bottom cam struck my climber and popped my string! Ugh! Luckily I found a bow shop open 50 minutes from here and I'm back in the stand. He didn't spook and I video him for quite awhile until he followed some does away. Another lesson to be learned. Good luck everybody! 20251110_083503~2.jpg

Gonna try and hunt this afternoon if I get the chance. I've been sick since yesterday afternoon and just starting to feel better. My wife is sick at home with our kid, so I'll just have to see what that looks like when I get off work at noon.

Taking the seven year old today to hunt a 2 man stand that we hung last weekend. Pardon the bad pics, but they were all from last weekend after putting the stand there. Windy and very warm here this morning. Hoping for the best, but I'm being realistic too. Next weekend is firearm season, so I'll be less picky this weekend lol. Good luck out there!
