Yup this time of year that's a good sign, if you can reach that spot without alerting them to your presence early you might get a chance.

Had plans on setting two sets this weekend but the wife decided it was a great weekend to paint the house. Hopefully I can get out next weekend to get my last two done. It's the last free weekend before season starts, I must enjoy cutting it close.

Tons of potential in this team, for sure.

Maybe I'll be able to hold it together.

Can't blame my wife but I sure did not get very much done hunting wise this weekend. First of all I have some kind of sinus infection and felt pretty terrible all weekend. On top of that had a lot of eclipse related stuff going on. We did get two blinds out and tack line to a new stand but that's about it. This coming weekend is the last before season comes in (OMG!). Gotta be more productive. I suck.

Took the FAM to go check a camera today. I was so pumped for this spot. I put so e corn down over the fence line so the cows couldn't get it. I go check the camera and the cows jumped the fence and ate all the corn. Won't be doing that again. Probably won't hunt the spot until the rut. Hard to draw the deer out of the woods into the field. Will be checking another camera tomorrow with hopefully some better results.

I hear you on the productivity side, the one down side of having an early opener is it seems to sneak up on me every year. She promised this weekend I can have half a day to hang them. I sure hope that promise holds up because after this weekend it's opener and we are going out to the badlands to my mom and step dads. My cousin is coming with and we are going to do some spot and stalk on some velvet muleys.

Man you guys start early, lol. I still have a little over a month. But goose opens in a week and a half, lol.

Joe, that really surprises me the cows jumped the fence. I've had mine go through a fence to get the other side - but she was far too lazy to jump. Hopefully they went back in the same way.

OTC out of state archery tags and tons of public land and you can stay and visit majestic Medora. Pink wanted to do some goose hunting last weekend but painting took up the weekend. It looks like people are hammering them over in the prairie pothole region i had a friend who went with 7 guys and knocked down 103 and another in a 5 man group got 73, really getting the itch.

Pulled a camera today and got a couple more pics of this fella. Tall racked sucker. Won't score much but a nice deer. He didn't let that other buck around the lick while he was there. Pecking order established in this case.

Set up a camera today on a new property. I'm not expecting much but you never know. I'll go back in a couple of weeks and let you know if there is anything promising. If any of you are interested, me and a couple of my buddies back home in Ohio started a hunting ministry group called Shedding Light Outdoors. We do some self filming and make some spiritual applications. We aren't very big and don't have sponsors or anything like that. If you want to check us out here is our last video of me and my son.

Guys I pulled down most of the trail cam picks I had put up earlier in the thread. I originally thought the Team threads would be viewed only by the team members (not sure how I thought that would work Lol). I didn't and don't care showing the pics to you guys but I don't really want them open to the world. I'll keep putting them up going forward to share info with you guys but will probably take at least some of them back down after a few days. It would be nice if we could have our own "Hit List" thread that only we could look at. Anyone know if that is possible?

I don't think there is a way to do a private thread. I know you can do private messages.

Yea it's not a huge deal. I'll just keep putting them up and take some down after a few days. Then if anyone wants to see a certain pic again I can just repost it or message it to them. I doubt others are looking into our threads too much but you just can never tell these days.
