Yes sir. I'm on the hunt for him. I'm not gonna try and pattern him here in the summer like I did last year but I have enough mobile cameras out I can figure him I out I believe. I also have 4 or 5 other nice 8's and a really, really nice deer I will post later.

I signed up for a special Kansas hunt but did not get drawn. Last year I did and got drawn and it was amazing! I tried for a different place this year but hey that's alright. Got a 15 acre track with two small kill plots. A 150 acre place that's mostly crp and some small wooded pockets that border a neighboring bean field. I just got permission to hunt a corner of a 160 acre piece that borders a 60 acre sanctuary that bordered the property I used to hunt before the landowner sold his property. If I told you anymore you'd have the gps coordinates ;) Oh, one cool thing about this new place that I get to hunt is that my tree stand is right next to an abandoned old school building. I'll try and take a picture next time I'm out there.

Can never have too many options I always say. Most people would say that I'm a hoarder when it comes to hunting spots.

This morning on the cell camera. Camera is mounted to the tree the stand is in overlooking the foodplot. Giggity.

He needs to get a different clock in his brain though. Only one daylight picture so far and nothing in the afternoons even close to dusk.

I personally am a fair weather hunter. I enjoy hunting, but not so into it that I go out in snow and cold. Just not happening. I did the blind thing last year. I just felt so secluded.

Going to hang another camera today and pull cards from a different spot. Going to be putting stands in the next week or two depending on the card pulls.

Just come down here Kristen and you will hardly ever have to worry about cold weather hunting. We are lucky if we get 5 days with lows even in the 30s before the rifle season comes in. Sounds like you were born to hunt in Mississippi. Lol.

I was definitely born in the wrong part of the states. I live in the snow belt of PA and it's miserable!

Hung two cameras and checked two. Got a beautiful buck. Got to throw it on my computer, but my card viewer is making it look about a 13. Not wide, but cool. Thick beams. I'll post tomorrow night. Weekends are so crazy right now for me.

We will be waiting. Let's get these shooters tied to trees guys. The season approaches.

Look forward to seeing the pics. My sister can't sit in the cold either but I try to talk her into it every year lol I went to a 3D shoot today and shot pretty well until i started sweating. I'm ready for live targets. I'm checking my cameras when I mow some paths next weekend. They will have been out for about a month so should be a good pull.

Snuck these on computer. I love this buck! Wish I could tie him to the tree...almost as much as wishing I had a better cam in this spot!

Look at that palmation. You have to shoot that deer if for no other reason than getting to use the word palmation in a sentence. I mean who doesn't love the word palmation?

Yea I like that buck. He is really webbed out. We don't seem to get a lot of palmated racks around here. We get a lot of stickers and (especially in the last 5 years or so) a lot of split G2s.

I hope you get a crack at him.

Thanks, thats the same thing my husband said. He's quite jealous I staked claim to this spot a couple weeks ago.

I love the fact majority of my pictures of bucks are day time.
