    Easiest recovery I've ever had.

My brother has the pics of me and the bow but she was about 10 yards from where I dropped a doe last year. She ran about 50 yards over the hill. 20171216_173807.jpg

Again, so many squirrels once it got light. I could have shot a deer's weight in them. Lots of deer tracks in thw snow but nothing this morning.

Hey finally got my buck scored and posted, he came out to 107 4/8! Going to try and get another Georgia trip in before the season is up and hopefully put a doe down!

Congrats again, KD. I still think he's a nice buck....and I also think I'll never become a professional guesser on scores because I was totally wrong, haha.

Brad, congrats on the doe - don't forget to get it posted.

Although I don't think we have a shot in the top - we have made a partial comeback at least. Never know when it comes to harvesting a deer!

Off work until after the new year. I'm hoping to get some time in a tree or ground blind. We finally got some snow and a cold front so hopefully the deer will start moving a little earlier!!

Seen Mr Big Guy tonight in the field across from the house. He' smart and only out in the dark. Should make it next season, I hope.

I finally posted my buck. Taxidermist rough scored him but didn't write down the measurements so I can't use his score but he came up with 123 inches. This was my first time doing it and I got 125 4/8. I didn't think he was going to score higher than 115 but his mass and height are deceptive and make up for the lack of spread.

Hope everyone had a good holiday!

For me, I'm in the middle of the record breaking Christmas snow storm.

It has been wonderful, the cold front has been a bit colder than expected i'm still waiting for the high to get above zero. This morning it was -20 without the wind chill haha

I was out in the snow today. 13 degrees with hardly any wind. Seen 11 nothing close enough thinking of trying again tomorrow. I love hunting in the snow I wish we could get some in early November some years.

No frost bite but also no deer. With that it concludes the end of my 2017 archery season, it was a fun 4 months.

Shot me a doe! Almost lost my toes it felt like but got me some meat! Sorry for the bad pics as it was cold lol it’s been a pleasure following along your seasons folks. We didn’t win but it’s more about just sharing stories with fellow bow hunters anyway and I had fun. I saw 19 deer in the little acre bean plot on my 9 acre farm tonight.if there is any way you can get a farmer to leave you some beans they are money this time of year when the snow flies. I’ll get the doe on the score thread
