Great job! Glad someone on the team put one on ground. Hopefully that will Inspire the rest of us to get out there! Congrats to you and your dad!
Fantastic young man! Congratulations to you and your Dad. Both great bucks. I'm glad KY is being good to someone cause it sure ain't treating me very nice at the moment.
A little too windy this morning but I did get out. I'm gonna drop a doe for meat this afternoon if nothing else shows up.
Opening weekend of gun hunting here in WI. Put a doe down with the rifle at first light. And wouldn’t you know it was easily within bow range. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Team - Monday after Thanksgiving is the rifle season for PA. I'll be out looking for a little redemption. That season lasts for a couple weeks, then late season archery and black powder start. In late season, I swap in and out my dads' crossbow with the musket. I'm still looking to get a doe in that season even if I get a buck in rifle.
Let an arrow fly tonight. Sadly there was just hair and no blood on the arrow, but if that raccoon comes back again I’ll have to finish the deal. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I almost shot a raccoon one sit this year. It was getting dark and two came out and one started climbing my tree. So I'm trying to "quietly" get this thing to not come up. Contemplated shooting it, but didn't want to ruin an arrow. Should have, at least I could have flung an arrow at something. Good luck during rifle, Pick. I didn't take opening day off, so I'll just have the two Saturdays. Most likely will shoot a doe and be done. May try late season depending on weather. I really hate the cold.
Had some fantastic action yesterday afternoon. Had a giant 8 chase does out into the clover field I was sitting on. He chased them all over and then into the woods behind me. He was grunting and growling and crashing through tree laps. He sounded like a bulldozer going through there. He slowed down out in the clover field several times to choose his next victim and I could've killed him with a rifle (our rifle season was in till dark). Had to work today. I'll be back at it tomorrow. Most all of our big deer made it through rifle season so I'm stoked about late rut and late season hunting.
