Here October, October, October!!! I'm going out tomorrow to do so annual tree stand checks and move a couple around and hang one on my new spot. I'll pull sd cards while I'm there. Also I got a new job that has me working only Monday through Thursday every week instead of 5-6 days a week. So I'll get to hunt more this year, which is awesome lol

Awesome. You just became at least 20% more lethal. I wish I could do that.

I'm taking off early tomorrow afternoon to go on my first hunt of the season. Maybe us KY boys can get some points on the board this weekend.

I have a good feeling about this weekend! For the Kentucky folks, that is. 8 days from tomorrow for me. I have the itch pretty bad.

Hey guys, checked a camera today, put a new one out, and checked my two tree stands on this property. I couldn't find my second tree stand. I doubted that it was stolen so I walked back through and turns out the tree broke in half. I guess God said no to that hunting spot. It was the only good tree in the area. Oh well, I set up on a spot overlooking a pond secluded in the woods. Maybe it will be a better spot. Here are the two ten pointers I got on the camera I checked. I'm not good with scoring deer by pictures so I'll just say that I'd shoot either one and hope they go 125+

I can't score either - unless I get out a tape measure and paper. But, both would be good ones! I love how the raccoons are watching!

    Good luck, Steve!

Awesome on the new job, Nick - a great perk to have - even in the off season!

Joe those bucks are both easily over 125". I'd guess them both in the mid 130s. Nice ones.

Gonna try for about an hour or two in the morning before i go watch some cheerleading. Good luck msbk1, the spot I'm headed to in the morning has the big daddy I had at 12 yards last year but he had his nose so far up a doe's butt he wouldn't stop.... Also where I killed the 1st doe so maybe something will walk out broadside at 20 yards. I will be passing on any small bucks and may let the does walk for now.

Hunted this morning and had 2 does and a fawn come through. The fawn got in range but the does teased me and moved on. No shots but a beautiful 50 degree morning! Sure hope these temps hold out. It feels like October.

I got my spot for the urban hunt. Will be about 3-4 blocks from my front door so will have some extra time in the stand this year.

Had to cancel my afternoon off so I didn't make it out this afternoon. Now it's looking like I probably won't hunt at all this weekend. All our big deer have either disappeared or are mostly nocturnal at the moment anyway so I'm likely not missing much but still it's frustrating to not have time to hunt.

Well, that concludes hunting for today. What a beautiful morning though. 9 deer, 2 raccoons and a bobcat.

I checked straps and shooting lanes and hung a stand on my new property yesterday. Had more pictures of the monster and a couple new bucks I'd consider shooting showed up but I left my sd cards in the living quarters. Oops. Have a whitetail convention tonight so that should be fun.

Went this evening. My lil brother killed his first with a bow so that was exciting. I'd rather help him drag one out than get one for myself. Good day

    Congrats to your little brother!

Sorry I couldnt get on this weekend. My phone kept giving me a server error.

Went to check cams and hang stands this weekend. Not too impressed anymore with my area where we had all the bucks. Paths have hardly been touched and nothing on camera (Mamma, Baby, and a 4 Pt) - that's a kick to the ego. Hung a cam in another spot - will check this weekend and decide. Looked a lot better sign wise. This weekend will be the last time in the woods before opener on the

KD - how'd you make out??? You safe?
