I like deer that go straight out then straight up like that. Good luck

Well had on camera that had a battery connection slip off so didn't take any pictures and then a few does on the other camera. Reset both so hopefully have new stories to tell in two weeks.

Man doesn't it suck when you run a camera that didn't work. Especially one that's been out for a while or on a spot you were excited about.

I feel you man, last time I ran cameras raccoons came down the tree and pointed the camera almost straight down two days after I walked away from it. It had been out for almost 2 months. 500 pictures of raccoons walking around under the tree.

IMG_7320.PNG On my way home from a baby shower this afternoon while this was happening right in front of a stand I hung last Saturday. What are people thinking having babies or scheduling weddings and such during hunting season? I'll never understand it.

My cousin is getting married Nov 11. Granted, I am hoping I am done by then...but still. I planned my wedding between race season and hunting season. I had three weeks to choose from.

    Eta; wrong day!

Bacon wrapped dove was pretty good. The neighbors killed some this morning and I already had the smoker going from a Boston butt so I figured why not. Dang those taste good!!!

    To Whom It May Concern,

Please excuse Kristen from any and all wedding related activities. She has prior obligations to the deer woods. We wish you the best!

    Signed,
    Concerned Hunters

PS - The rut waits for no man.
PSS - Who schedules a wedding in November anyway?

You all need to remember though that PA sucks and the 11th is actually our last day of archery. So I will only miss the afternoon hunt. But really who does that LOL. Especially because her dad hunts, too!

IMG_7326.JPG Our bucks are probably a little more than 50/50 on being out of velvet now. Pic from this evening of one in process. This buck looked heavy a few weeks ago but the velvet was deceiving. He's lost a lot of perceived mass. Cool buck though.

You all have been awfully quiet.

Stick with it! Bow hunt long enough and it happens to everyone.
