. So here’s a little bit of my hunting situation. I’ve got about 200 acres on the backside of my 2.5. It’s actually the house I grew up in and now own so I’ve hunted there my whole life. About 5 years ago I decide to quit killing little “basket racks” and focus on QDM. 2 years ago it finally started to pay off. I saw a couple good ones but never was able to get an arrow off. Last year I was able to kill a 135 (which for me and where I’m at I’ll take all day long.) I’ve got some good ones this year that I’m hoping to get a shot off on, one of which is a real big 6 that I’ve watched for about 3-4 years now. The other I think is about the same age and is an 11 pointer. Here are a few pics.
Nope. Nope. Nope. I'm not gonna make an Administrator the Captain when he hasn't agreed or hasn't even checked in yet. I'm new at this, but I'm not stupid.
He’s had the same rack every year. I know for a fact he’s 4. His rack grows every year but I’m wondering if he’ll blow up into something or just stay a six next year
Brad will be fine with it, its like a gift we're giving him since he's only here in spirit til the 8th
Good lookin deer and great footage. Very well put together. I’ve Tried to start dabbling in videoing as well I never really got into the editing part so now I just kinda use the footage to review my shot placement and that kinda thing..
Literally just changed mine cause wings last years on there. I’m liking the one you got definitely using it. Ha
I’ll take care of the captain stuff until Brad gets here, but I think we’re all long enough in the tooth with the contest, and have all been captains, it ain’t no thang.
Who gets to hunt first on the team? I'm not due til at least October so don't count on any points from me til Halloween like every year
September 26 for me. I know around my neck of the woods it’s like SC, KY, and GA have pretty early starts
Its so miserably hot in Kentucky on the opener. I know cause im 45 minutes from the KY border........can't make it 20 ft from the truck without needing gold bond! God bless the boys that can do it cause its just not my cup of tea. Give me north winds, 30s at night and a frosty morning in November now thats hunting!.................but who am I kidding I do end up torturing myself at least a few times and hunt when its mid 70s..... just to get out of the house.
