Well guys, I’m sorry to say, but I’m done hunting. Got back late last night from a quick trip to Houston, had to move one of the daughters to St Louis for school. We load the camper tomorrow and head to Orlando for a week and then on to Gulf Shores. Not much time to tag a doe for the last 50. Sorry I can’t be more help. Taking my bow on the outside chance I can deer hunt in Alabama. Good luck to y’all.
My bow hunting has been over for a couple months. I've been chasing ducks and doing a little Ice fishing. I'm chomping at the bit for August to get here so I can go bow hunting again
Yeah, I'm likely done too. NC does have an urban archery season (something like Jan-Feb) but I don't see an opportunity in the short term.
Went on what may be my last hunt tonight and saw nothing, so I am skunked in Greene County. On the diff note, I went through 3 scorers promising and no commitments on my buck. I messaged the Score Card to have it removed, but Cls74 helped me through scoring my buck. I included the tip to tip and widest spread in my calculation, if excepted, I will have an official score of 118 7/8. I message Brad Kaufman, just awaiting his reply. Grommel's button buck is technically a second doe and won't count as a bonus deer. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just noticed the rule while looking for something else.
I still got the scarlet letter “*” on my score. Even after Cls74 helped me figure my issue out. I am equal to @boonerville” on the cheaters wall. Let it go! Let it go! Hehehehe! Oh well, redemption next year. Time to shed hunt and farm improvements. Hope all of you have had time for recuperation and your getting that fever back for Sept-Oct opening day.
