That is absolutely awesome. I wish the WI season would open a couple weeks earlier, I would love to shoot a big velvet buck. I've got 3 patterned, but they'll be long out of velvet by Sept 15 when the season opens.

Congrats again boss! Awesome start to your season and a nice boost for the team!

I hear ya Shed...I often cannot get a doe tag in the areas I hunt either...I personally don't think does should be part of the contest...but I think I can get a doe tag in one of the areas I will be hunting this year...I'll have to look into it

I agree with your situation Troy and would allow it, but you're on my team and can't make that call. Fitz and I talked a bit and I think we're going to have the captains vote on it next week. The only problem I see is for the guys who do have doe tags and multiple buck tags wanting to use a second buck for 50 points if they don't shoot a doe.

Personally, I don't know why does were allowed in the contest in the first place. Not all guys are able to shoot does and the only constant is that all people can shoot bucks.

No matter how the vote comes out, our team is going to run away with the title anyways.

Dan, I believe GMMAT lobbied hard to get does added to the contest...now that he is gone...maybe the does should be gone too :)

It won't be this year and it will be very hard to change it in the future too. I think a lot of people would make a stink about it.
