No go today, rain and the wind is wrong for the property.

I hunt only once a week so I would still probably go on a rainy day as long as its not too bad.

Hung a stand (actually just moved it) to a nice pinch point along a creek. I've been seeing nice bucks come thru this area for a few years now and decided to get a little more aggressive this year.

Like the sig pic, VA. Good work.

my job right now is keeping me from being in the woods like i was which is probably a good thing cause now i can just get out there on the weekend to check cameras and trails and see what my food plot is doing. but when im done with 3 more weeks of training i will go to my swing shift schedule and ill have several days off i only work 17 out of 28 days ;)

Little update..... A lot of dog training and scouting in the evenings. Been seeing decent numbers of deer but nothing I'm crazy about going after yet. This has been a VERY weird year around here. Your typical summer of glassing bean fields full of bachelor groups have been far from the truth around here. The deer are ALL in cut wheat fields this year which is just weird..... found a nice little herd of 25+ deer the other day but nothing over 125-130". Hoping once that velvet comes off some of my big boys will venture back home to their core areas.

Well I'd love to be able to post of some pictures of a bunch of deer in my food plot from the last three weeks but some stupid SOB stole my camera. There is definitely plenty of signs of a ton of deer traffic. I just have no way of knowing what it when. Oh well sept 7th ill give it a whirl and see what happens

PICT1117.jpg PICT0937.jpg I checked my camera after leaving it out for only 3 days and I had a 230 pictures. I had mostly does but I got these two bucks. I think I am going to name the smaller one Mr. Smithers. The property that I am going to hunt is only 10 acres of woods and surrounded by crops. Haven't though of a good name for the big one.

heartstoper, try not to check your cameras so soon i done that so much i pressured the seer off my property and that made for a horable season.

chall08, i have been lucky to never have a camera stolen. was it on private ground?
