Sit with the girlfriend in the stand in the rain today saw about 10 does all together and one buck that was chasing but couldn't get anything to come in close enough

FINALLY!! my boss let me off at a decent time today so I decided to go and take my climber and go and sit in the this stuff today. I took the long way to get to the tree I wanted. After sitting there for only 30 mins I seen a deer walking my way and then I realized that is was a good size buck. So there I was shaking like a leaf hoping that he would come my way and at 25 yards stood broadside and I shot between to little trees. I finally got a good buck with a bow pics will follow its a an 8 pt. I am pumped.

I would like to also add that it is my and wife and I's 4 year anniversary. I was in home in time to cook dinner. I will hopefully get some pics on here tonight but I wont score until tomorrow night.

congrats on the buck!!! i went out tonight and see 4 does and a small buck....i dont think rut is here yet in central ks becuase that buck wasnt trying to push or follow the does tongiht and im still getting my bigger boys on camera at night. so hopefully by the start of my next week off things will have picked up!!!

 

Well I got suckered into trying something new. I'll give it a try next time I go out.

I have heard some good things about ever calm but i also hear that the reaction changes with every heard.

 

Well I guess I'll find out. I'll let y'all know what happens.
I just got an email about a deer running around in a subdivision with an arrow in it. There is going to be a group of us going to try and take it out.

I hope you get it VA sorry I haven't had time to score that buck yet. I did skin and clean it today it took me 4 hours and a few beers. I was planning on going out this morning but the bed felt to warm to get out of. Hope you guys had good luck today.

 

Wouldn't it be easyer to put another arrow in it instead of taking one out? Lol

Haha I don't think they're only going to be taking out the arrow lol. Well sorry I couldn't be a help this year with the contest. I just zeroed in the rifle today for opening weekend this weekend. If i get a buck this weekend then ill take the bow out for a doe. Im sure ill get a doe to come in to 20 yards now that ill have a rifle in my hands.

 

Haha yeah when I first read it I imagined a bunch of guys cornering a deer and pulling a arrow it off it haha so I saw the opportunity to be a smart *** and ran with it lol
