Hope you have better luck next time VA. Its not easy to not see a deer. Ill be going out on Saturday and its supposed to have a high of 57 and a low in the 30's. Im hoping my mock scrape is being hit.

I know bucks start hitting scrapes during late august and they should really start hitting them now. I am hearing about people finding a lot of them in NY.
I bought a bottle of Smokey's Preorbital lure and a Wildlife Research dripper. I'll be putting them out on my next opportunity. Just my luck all this week I have been getting off early with perfect weather but I have been to sick to go out. I was feeling better on Friday so I decide to go out and give it a try. I was in stand for about 45 min and I see a doe with triplets I never got her on trail camera before. I checked my camera and they are all over it. So I am hoping to go out Sunday morning and Sunday night. I just hope it's not gonna to be to windy.

Went out this morning and a hit a big doe. I am going around 1 to blood trail her. I missed a second doe by and inch. I had 8 deer come all at once and they dad no clue I was there. I was surprised because they came directly down wind of me and they didn't even smell me. I hope I find her I hit her high and the arrow is still in her.
Two of my buddies went with me to look for blood we looked fore 3 hours and didn't even find a single drop. I think she might be down in the bean field so I told to the farmer to let me know if they find her. I am hoping the meat will still be good since its suppose to be cold tonight. I feel sick to my stomach.
Well that happens to the best of us. Do you think the arrow will come out or that the shot was fatal? The notion of a deer walking around with an arrow wagging in it is PETA fodder. it was below the spine the shot was at 26 yards I think I got good penetration. I am hoping that the arrow will come out. I am just baffled is how come we didn't see any blood. The property is mostly fields and the bean are still up so I talked to the farmer and told them to let me know if they find her and hopefully the meat will still be good. We went on our hand and knees for like 200-300 yards searched it real slow and climbed trees to get better advantage point.
Hope you find the deer Heart! I went out today and had a rare day where i didn't see a single deer. I did how ever see my first fox. I shot twice at it with my second shot scratching the underside. Even though i didn't see a single deer i had a great time.
