Do not want to be at work today; need another day of rest and recovery from the weekend! Had a great time in Houston for the LSU/Wiskey game. I think Wisconsin has a great squad with some real potential if they can just put a few things together. 28 days till the season opens for me! Got these pictures over the weekend behind my parents house. Should get some good pics from the MS lease over the weekend. This one will definitely get an arrow if he walks out on me (we really don't get much bigger bucks on this piece of property)

I have one target buck i'm hoping sticks around for the CT opener.. I'm not tryin to overthink it or get my hopes up as to not be disappointed, but his is a real brute for my area... 2 weeks from yesterday the season opens.. fingers crossed he sticks around...
Any Illinois residents or hunters know whats going on here? We are trying to get our NR Archery permits but it is not an option. Called a local store and they don't have the option either. According to one person we talked to, there are 17,000 NR buck tags remaining but we can't purchase them.
Just keep checking back. The state of Illinois is a joke and they move at their on pace. I don't think they were available last year until the middle of September but I could be wrong.
Well, I got the bow all dialed in today! One more week before our season opens!! Been working on washing all my hunting stuff this week, so I am getting close to being ready!!! One more camera check before the season opens, hopefully I get some more buck pics, not much so far.
9 days 'til opener here. I'll probably try and sit out that night, but I doubt I hunt much before I leave for CO. Started a bedroom remodel yesterday and I need to try and crank it out asap.
Yeah, him and two others are in a field about 3/10ths of a mile from my property, the land owner surrounds my property and I got in contact with her a few days ago, turns out no one has hunted their 800 acre farm in 30+ years and since I'm the adjoining neighbor (with some labor bartering) I may have scored sole permission to the entire 800 (except where their horses are roaming) pretty excited to say the least!
1 week from today.. spent the weekend hangin some new stands and checkin cams... things look very promising.
