And the caption could read something like; There's strength in the pack.....Hunt like the wolf Course someone with more skill than I could fancy up the graphics.

Will do Tony. If I'm not blessed with a buck this year it won't be for lack of trying. Good luck to you too. :)

Jerry I'm in SE Nebraska, I hunt a couple of private farms both on creek bottoms adjacent to bigger rivers.

Tony, I'm going to do my best for you.

On cruise control I've killed a doe every opening day for the past 3 years ... I may not this year though

I'm in an interesting position this year when it comes to does. The last several years we've been in population control mode in Nebraska doing everything we can to nock down numbers. Last year EHD hit this area hard, all bonus tags have disappeared and I'm going to have to make a hard decision on whether or not I think I can afford to take a doe out of the heard. I probably won't have a feel on that until well into October which is when they generally get scarce on our farms.

Hopefully I get out there and the first few sits yield a lot of sightings and I don't have to worry about it.

The does are the key to winning this contest, if almost all of us can take doe we will be in the hunt the whole way. The bucks will hit the ground based on what I've seen from you guys in the past.

Opening day is 9/15 here. I dropped a stand on my place this morning and picked out a tree, once it cools off I'll put it up. Unfortunately the farmer said he hasn't been seeing many deer, he was happy... me not so much.

Matt, I've hunted birds in the Beatrice area and now deer hunt south of there in Kansas. Sounds like we might be pretty close. EHD took a toll where I hunt in Kansas last year too. I heard Nebraska got pounded as well.

I'm shooting what's in my signature line, I may swap out the muzzy phantoms for razor ticks though. I just picked some up today and I'll see how they shoot this week.

I was shooting a z7 the past three seasons so I have shot both grips, I like the focus grip ALOT better compared to the wooden one.
