How about an update from everyone? Just like to know who is doing what and what you have coming up. Here are my tentative plans... I will hunt next Friday the 25th in Oklahoma on public land. I then plan to hunt OK from the 7th of November through the 11th. I'll work one day and then head to Kansas on the 13th and will hunt through the morning of the 18th. What are ya'll doing?

This has been a awesome year so far. Got my first elk and first mule deer. Both spot an stalk. The muley this morning was 61 yards with a very slight quarter away. My dad gave me the range an I let an arrow fly. [IMG] this is the yucca plant that was behind her on impact. Those killzones do some unbelievable damage. We watched her tip over after 50 yards. Perfect heart shot. Could not have got any better. [IMG] awesome hunt with my dad. My wife brought my son down after the kill [IMG] three generations of western hunters.

    Congrats OK/sooner!

I'll start hunting more this week, the temps are dropping and the crops are coming out. I'll hunt 2-3 times this week, still mostly afternoon hunts. Starting the following week I'll be in a stand 4-5 times a week until 11/16. With numbers low it's going to be all about a$$ in stand, really that's what it is always about.

Great Buck Finny! Congrats! I'll be out this Saturday. It's my first hunt of the year. With the unseasonable cool temps hopefully things are stirring around! Happy hunting guys!

Chase are you going up to Fitz's camp? I was up in the area a few weeks ago, that is truly God's country. I didn't make the effort to try to get over and meet Fitz but next time I'm up there I will. It's pretty sad that I didn't try, I was on Lake Vermillion which can't be more than 20 miles from his camp.

I'll hit the farm this evening if it works out with my son, depends on when he gets out of practice. If not I'll for sure be hunting tomorrow afternoon and Sunday morning. The bucks are starting to hit the ground as shown by Finny's buck, I pray that I get lucky enough to catch a cruiser this year.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, hunt hard and hunt safe guys!
