Really crappy weather here. Its a shame as I have nothing else to do this Thanksgiving break. 70 degrees yesterday, 30 mph winds today, 20 mph winds tomorrow. The couch and remote is more tempting than the forecast. I wont be out anytime soon.
Happy Thanksgiving Teammates. I can think of 186 6/8 reasons to be Thankful this year. I'll probably get out Saturday and maybe Sunday morning with the bow this weekend.
Happy belated Thanksgiving gentlemen! I'll be going out tonight for a On the Ground sit....With my wife!! She wants to go out and she has today off and I'm sure alot of guys will be out on the public land I hunt. So hopefully they'll be moving today! Wish us luck, I need it!! Actually seeing the deer isnt the problem for me, it's actually hitting them!
First I want to say congrats to John on a beautiful " 186"!!!!!! I finally had time to sit down and score my little 8 pt. I entered both deer in the contest this morning. This should raise Team 18's score up another 147 points. I will still be hunting as much as possible still have 2 archery tags left.
Hit a 6 pt this morning. Spent all day tracking. Haven't found it yet. I'll be returning tomorrow! Not looking good though, went about 400 yards and the blood trail went dry. Last blood I found was a good sized puddle. About 1 cup of blood. After that NOTHING!! This sucks!!
Found a shoulder blade today on my way out. Had some fresh meat on it. Searched a little and then headed out. I will be back there tomorrow. Hopefully I can find the trophy at the very least and get some points for our team. I was just starting to convince myself to get over it and then I see this!
