By the way im 28 years old been hunting for a few years and I love bowhunting! I took my first buck last year. I live in MA and hunt on public land. I won a doe permit this year and have 2 antlered. Not alot of deer up here but I do what I gotta do to find them. Opening day for me is the 2nd week of October. Can't wait!

All within Illinois this year. 300+ acres southern Monroe County along the mighty Mississippi.Un-huntable the past 3 years due to high water not looking to promising early on, maybe things will pick up when all the crops are harvested. I will be focusing most of my season on Public Land in Brown & Adams County's (Siloam Springs State Park & The Buckhorn Unit). I just turned 49 but when it comes to bowhunting I'm like a little kid in a candy store. I'm for the grizzled veteran "jmbuckhunter" as our captain. Check in Boys Stacy Morton (Rut Junkie), I guess I am the old guy here....LOL. I have been bow hunting for 37 years. As always I am ready to start hunting now!! We have 4 buck from 140 to 180 using our deer lease (The Bone Yard) and when the rut hits any size deer can come through our area. The area i hunt in Illinois somebody has shot a 200 + deer every year for the last 6 years. I am working to be that hunter this year....cross my fingers and pray to the deer gods.....LOL. Really I am looking forward to just have a fun bow season. I will be hunting in Neb and IL this year. Good lucky to all!!!

As far as team captain I also nominate JMBH. He has seniority on the forum and knowing so many of the guys and how this competition works I think that makes him the best fit.

Not exactly. The trail cam pics are all from my property over the last few years. The top buck is my first bow buck back in 1996. The middle bucks were at the Iowa Deer Classic and the bottom one "The Chad Goetten Buck" was killed a few miles from my place, he scored 236+.
