I'm out until Thursday night. Been hunting tight spots so sightings are down. When I do see.......I will kill. Keep grinding.

Busy weekend ahead, I will get a hunt in Friday morning before I try to fill my paddlefish tag. Pheasant season opens on Saturday, although it is one of my least favorite hunts, I like the comradery of being with friends and hunting the state bird. Still, I should get atleast two more sits in the stand this weekend. I would go out Thursday night, but the winds are supposed to be gusting up to 40 mph. The rut seems so far away!

a bit of bad news too i just posted a thread but the big 8 ive been chassing is dead. got killed at the farm across the street a guy who hunts at both my property and the farm across the street told me when i saw him monday after i killed my bow he texted me a pic of the philadelphia brute. scored 149"

We have 35 mph winds here today in SoDak. After work I am going to try to sneak up on some does where I think they are usually bedded. With a favorable wind, I should be able to make a play on them.
I was wondering who was gunna pop this contest cherry! Way to go Rudi! Had 3 deer come in yesterday but it got too dark before they would give me shot. Had to wait for them to roll out before I could climb down too. :/
Well my morning hunt got bashed after my football game they think I have a concussion so I need to go get looked at tomorrow and if I get cleared I will be out in the evening.. But good job on the doe
I'm headed to the farm tonight. Gonna hunt Saturday and Sunday. It was pretty quiet last weekend deerwise, but the turkey brightened things up. It's cooler this weekend, so that should help.
Congrats on the nice Doe Rudi!! John that is a great Turkey you shot. Did you shoot it from a treestand? I was out 2 weeks ago for only one 4 hour sit. I had a doe and fawn come in within the first hour that I let walk in hopes of seeing my target buck. My hunt was cut short when I got down for lunch and started my truck and seen a huge water vapor cloud bellowing out of my exhaust pipe(Blown head gasket). I was down for a week and a half rebuilding the top end of the motor and replacing timing chains and gears. Now that the truck is running good I will be heading out to my hunting property today for a weekend of hunting in about an hour. Good Luck to everyone and shoot straight.
Crazy wind direction tomorrow will allow me to hunt an awesome spot!!! Cant wait. We never get south winds!!!
