Very nice European there. I would really like to do that with my 8. How much that set you back if you don't mind me asking?
$65. The guy does a good job normally. You can see a little discoloration and I'm trying to find out if that is natural or if he over cooked it. Most taxi's I talked to were about $100 and up just to clean it up like I wanted. If you wanted it on a angled piece of wood and teeth ground off so it sits down on the wood it was $130 and up. I like them more natural.
Hey guys...it's been too long. I would like to hear your guys plan for December? Our antlerless portion of rifle season is over this Saturday and I plan to be out there. Hopefully most of the surrounding gun hunters have given up and not trespassed. I wouldn't know b/c I've attempted to let the area cool down. I still have 2 buck tags left. I hope to fill at least one..that is my goal. I've never taken two bucks in the same year with a bow. Good luck guys! I think Wisc needs to still check in his deer...
That sounds cool Dean. I only hope my little man wants to hunt. Only time will tell. I am going to start to focus on hunting the late season now, I have some great foodplots in place and I know they should pay off for sure.
Rednas5 - Good luck on the trespassing part, it amazes me each year how people push the limits. Congrats to Wis. looks like you got a really nice buck. Good Job.
Todd-just curious what your food plots contain? We plan next year to have a couple of corn and soybean plots and then a plot solely of a Brassica's mixture. This year we planted sorghum and eagle soybeans and it seemed to do pretty good. Most of the deer bedded in the center of it. We figure the corn next year will be great late season while the soybeans are for summer. The brassica's obviously for Sept-November. This weekend lows are in the teens. It will be a tough hunt with all the gun pressure and dropping temps. Good luck guys.
Well guys this weekend looks to be my last w/ a bow. There is another doe gun season on the10-13th. The following weekend is my sons baptism and family x-mas. Then its the in-laws on x-mas w/ aqnother gun season opening for the remainderof the year. It's pretty dissapointing to see it come to a end so quick after waiting so long. I have enjoyed it. I'm going to try some coyote hunting this winter. Want to do my part in bringing the herd numbers back up.:D Good luck to all of you as you season winds down.
Well guys I'm truly done now. Took a nice doe last night from the ground. Story here: http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=10584 It was a pleasure meeting all of you and I hope our paths will cross again in the future.
Nice job from the ground. I have yet to get a bow kill from the ground. It is deffinately something to be proud of. Congrats!
