Team 18 - Does Be Trippin'

Man that story made me feel like I was a kid again. That kid will definitely be a lifetime hunter.

 

I'd like to get a couple evening hunts this week. Probably Wednesday and Friday.

 

He's hooked for sure. The best part for a parent/hunter was him being able to relate passing on quite a few deer to having success on a buck he is super proud of. Couldn't have written a better script.

 

I want to put this in my album of stupid stands, but it might just be a genius setup. This pic was taken from my work car...on the driveway...30 yards from the house.

 

Encouraged by some new trail cam pics.

 

Here's a real good looking stud. First time I've ever seen him.

 

Those are just 2 new ones that have showed up. There are also 3 or 4 others that are still showing up as well. I plan on hunting Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings. Possibly Saturday evening. Depends if the Buckeyes game is a blow out or close. Hoping for a blowout!!!!!

 

It's a climber that he leaves at the base and climbs up when he hunts. Who's the stupid one?

Yeah, that's for sure. Most pics I'm getting are right around last light with a few mid day ones. That's why I'm concentrating my hunts in the evening.

 

Taking a friend's son out tomorrow on a quest for his first deer. Really looking forward to it...

No luck tonight. Friday is coming. Or should I say Buck Friday is coming!!!!!

 

Well, we didn't see any deer. Had a really neat encounter with a fox, which is fairly unusual for the area.

Probably going to take my youngest son out Saturday or Sunday. I think he is feeling a little left out and we could use some bonding time.

I'm on dad duty for the next 4 days. We'll be hitting the woods tomorrow to move a blind and set up a feeder. At (almost) 3, she's still too squirmy to actually hunt with me. Maybe next year. The highlight of her Disney trip last week was having her bag searched by TSA. Toddler terrorist!

 

It's Buck Friday time!!!!! Anyone else after a deal on a buck. I'm hoping I get a monster of a deal real soon here!!!!!
