I'm in the stand. I go back to work Wednesday might so my time is dwindling but I have a little left.
Well I didn't get out this morning but I'm trying to salvage part of the evening. I'm in a ground blind trying to ambush this mystery buck. All I know is he was described as the biggest buck they've seen in their life. Lol. I won't complain if he is. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Anybody out this morning? I am thinking about using a 1/2 day this week and make one more run at a doe before gun season opens. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Sitting here in the cool rain contemplating, what's for dinner? Along comes a rabbit. No I didn't take the shot. Sounds like a good idea about getting that doe.
Ouch...pretty early in the day to be thinking about dinner. You need some action soon! Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well guys looks like I'm eating tag soup this year after hunting every day since Wednesday and just got back home today. I saw plenty of does but the bucks never showed up which still has me confused. Normally you would think if you see this amount of does there would be an occasional buck with them to check them out. Guess not I guess. I did have a medium sized 8pt come in on Friday morning but i didnt have the best shot so I let down as I didnt feel comfortable with the shot. Other than that the highlight was watching a nub buck chase around 4 does trying to get some action Saturday morning in the snow. I'm happy but kind of disappointed. Thought I would have atleast seen more bucks with the amount of does I kept seeing. Its like the rut never happened LOL
Where do you hunt? Here in Ohio I have until the first Sunday in February. I've killed bucks in January so for me there is still hope. Kind of had the same thing here. Saw does and fawns and several small bucks but nothing more than that. I've got a couple hunts left before I head back to work Wednesday night, so you never know what might happen.
I'm not out of the game just yet! I have plenty of time and property that is close enough to basically walk to. Last week was a huge disappointment with the lack of bucks out cruising. I really think the rut here is going to full swing this week. I'll get in an evening hunt and a couple this weekend. Two good bucks on the radar. Doe will come later.
Even though I've seen nil rutting activity in my area. I'm beginning to wonder if the lock down phase has hit. These last 4 sits I've only seen 1 spike.
Morning I saw nothing. I'll be back out this evening. Anything over a 1 1/2 old is in danger tonight!!!!!
No sightings tonight either. I did get another new buck on camera. He was at my stand at 5:15 Monday evening. Unfortunately I was on my other property Monday evening. I think he's a 3 1/2 year old who may be a real stud next year. I probably would have shot him though if I was in this stand.
4 does again tonight. Camera up in a good spot and hanging a new set tomorrow. I hope this buck cruises through. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
