Team 18 - Does Be Trippin'

This evening's sit was exciting. Had 7 bucks come through trailing a doe. All runts, but a great sign of things to come.

Still raining here but getting ready to go out. Anyone else out today?

 

I'm not in the woods, but I did hit up the Cabela's friends and family sale. I got a blind, gravity feeder, some Tinks, and a dog collar for $130.

 

Got a new phone and spent 15 minutes figuring out how to turn the data on cause the wife turned it off even though we have unlimited usage.

 

Anyways, I'm all settled in. Hoping for a short sit, but ready for a long one if it has to be.

 

Little over an hour down. Haven't seen or heard any yet. Going to try a rattling and grunting sequence here real soon.

 

First deer sighting. About 30 yards to my left. Was grunting and bleating. Looked to be either a doe or a smaller buck. Looking through pines trying to make out what it was.

 

Saw it in these pines.

 

Fairly quiet here except that one sighting.

 

Clone ran by at 60 yards while I was getting dressed...

Hopefully he walks by at 20 yards!!!!!

 

Hopefully 5 yards. I'm still shaking just from seeing him in person.

 

I've been sitting here almost 5 hours now with one sighting. Hope I can resist the first one I have a shot at unless it's Highway 9!!!!!

 

Took another doe this morning.

Only saw that one deer all day. What a miserable sit.

 

Ha! That was my knife. 125gr rage 2 blade. She went maybe 30yds.
