I sat from 6:15-4:15, without seeing a deer, and finally just couldn't take the rain anymore. I pulled cards on the way out and had my #1 and 2 out during shooting hours yesterday. WTH?!? Sorry for the pic of a pic. I was too excited to upload them right.
Wow dude. Hope you can get on em. Absolute beasts. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Didn't get out this morning, sat this afternoon in the rain. Didn't see a deer until I was almost back to the truck. Rain again in the morning. I'll get back out tomorrow evening to a different stand. Good luck guys!
By the time shooting light gets here in the morning it's suppose to quit raining, so I'm definitely going in the morning here. Only bad thing is it's suppose to warm up a good bit overnight.
I'm settled back in the same blind as yesterday. 25 yards from the cam that caught those big boys. Dragged some doe in heat out into the plot and freshened the 3 scrapes around the perimeter. Bring em on!
I'm giving it another hour or so. If I don't get any action by then, I'm getting down and regrouping for the afternoon hunt.
Good luck today guys. I'm planning an all day sit tomorrow in a special spot. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I think I'm going to check cams today and wait on the wind to change and be out of the north tomorrow before I hunt.
I have a question for you guys. After tromping around at the lease searching for the bullet proof buck I shot, how long should I let it cool off? I'm at work anyway, but I was just curious. They are chasing hard here, and that place isn't really home to any of these bucks I've seen.
I'm back home now. Skunked again. I'm headed to my oldest property for the first time this year. I don't have any good bucks on cam there, but studs always cruise through this time of year.
I wouldn't worry too much about letting it set for any period of time now. With so much movement happening...it's just time to hunt. Love the bullet proof buck reference. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
