Not going out this evening. Finishing up cleaning out our shed as we are selling it getting ready to move. The move will interfere a little with hunting, but the wife understands as we get deeper into October and early November, she knows what comes first.
Well went out to the farm and forgot I took all my hunting stuff out of my truck this morning. Drove home and decided to hunt my backyards. Got down here and realized I forgot my jacket. Good thing I had a couple under layers in my backpack
It's down to 57° right now. Had 2 doe come running in. Pulled back on the bigger one then thought I heard something else coming in so i let down. Nothing else came in.
Good luck Shawn...that looks like nice spot. Im Getting the rain gear ready for a Saturday morning sit. It's been about 10 days since I took the bow to the woods and I'm ready regardless of weather.
Last year I killed a 130" 11 pointer opening day here. Killed multiple does from this stand. My first year in this stand I killed a nice 8 with a 21" spread.
Took a vacation day today I cant wait no more. Laundry is almost done and any other chores are just about done. Looks like some evening rain so hoping I can get in a stand for this evening. Either way, i'm heading up to the cabin. Even if i dont get to hunt atleast i'll be up there and in stand Saturday morning. I should have some pictures to share later today/tonight as i'll check my main camera that has been out 8 weeks since my last check.
Heard a deer on my way in this morning but had my first sit of the season without seeing any deer. I think this 7 point will be a very nice buck in another 2 years.
I'm thinking about ordering one in the next couple weeks. I had seen it for $149, but now $199 is the cheapest.
Got back home late last night after 14 hours straight on the road. I'm obviously not hard core enough to be out this morning but I'm regrouping for an evening hunt and also tomorrow morning. Good luck to you who are out. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
