Went out yesterday morning. Seen 6 does. Got on a stalk immediately. Got within 40 yards of one. Pulled back on her a looked at my pins an had no clear shots. Tried kneeling an a 4' pine tree blocked that shot. November gets here it's tactical changes for me. O an on the way out put a stalk on four cow elk. 126 yards out got to 40 yards and a gun shot rings out an they bolted. ( Bear is any weapon). Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
One of these days I'll sit down and type out a small story about the bear. Rite now I'm sitting on a field where it transitions from hay to beans. Got some pics of really good bucks 50 yards from where I'm sitting but there all at night execpt one ok 10. I'm also on the ground with no blind. Just some grass and a couple shrub branches in front if me. Might get a little crazy
Sick to my stomach right now. I missed a really good buck today at 35yds. Shot right over his back. Probably between a 140-150 inch buck
Had a great weekend with the kids. Youngest boy caught his first musky and good times were had by all. I got to work this morning and after staring at the desk for a while, i decided to make make Wednesday a hunting day. That might make the next couple days easier...but my productivity is tanking.
I believe I'll be getting out this evening, Tuesday morning and evening and possibly Wednesday morning.
Still have high pressure today so I'm headed to a different stand today after work. Maybe shoot a doe and get my confidence back up. Yeah I blame the Z7 too lol
Hunted a close ladder stand I have setup on the edge of bedding in a little hole in the thick crap. Didnt see anything Saturday night or Sunday morning before I came home. Did get one of the hit-list bucks on my dads camera by his ladder stand. Hoping one of us gets him.
Getting ready for my 3rd sit of the season. Had deer all around first 2 sits. Hoping for a good chance at the piebald to or the heavy 9.
Not sure if any of you remember from an earlier post a few weeks back I posted that I lost one of the larger hunting spots Prolly 300 acres or more. It was in managed land. Well come to find out that it is still accessible. My dad and I knocked on there door and got written permission to bow hunt the land. HUGE chunk of property! and its been my best place to turkey hunt in the spring! Was such a good feeling when they said yes even though i'll probably hunt it a hand full of times.
Had a yearling and a skinny doe come in yesterday. Funniest thing I've seen. That yearling must have sneezed 200 times in 10 min. She kept pawing at her nose. Pretty much non stop.
